Getting the Most from SRM
Quality Control
WDG representatives work closely with SRM contractors to ensure proper application of SRM systems. Moisture must be kept away from all WDG products and the roof substrate must be completely dry prior to application. Contractors should use daily checklists along with recommended Quality Control Documentation.
Daily Checklists address:
- Weather Conditions: Air temperature, wind speeds, and rain-fog-dry conditions.
- Equipment: Checking for leaks, cleaning spray guns, and ensuring that gauges and pumps are working properly.
- Items to Verify: Check for overspray potential, flashing conditions, if air intakes are present, and a final look at each area of the roof.
- Materials: Check and catalog all materials for type, shelf life, and application temperatures – include all lot numbers.
In addition to the daily checklists, documentation should include field adhesion test results, roof grid process, proper equiment usage, and submission of Warranty Application. The contractor should ensure that all millage requirements are met. Traffic on the newly coated roof should be limited for two days.
