Getting the Most from SRM

Roof Examination
All pre-existing membranes must be adhered properly to the substrate and intact to ensure a quality SRM application. Areas to be recoated must have sufficient slope to drain water. Depending on roof type, it may be necessary to perform a moisture survey to identify wet installation, which will have to be removed and replaced. Further examination includes:
- Finding and repairing any damaged structural components of the roof
- Verifying that drains, vents, ducts, gutters, metal cap or other penetrations are secure and functioning
- Replacing or retightening all loose fasteners on metal roofs
- Installing materials, if necessary, to change roof slope to facilitate water drainage
